For GPS: I recommend putting in Plucked Up (restaurant) for directions. Free parking can be found along 1st Ave.
The clinic is located on the 2nd floor in the Rothschild Building inside the office space of Core Pelvic Health and Wellness. When you come out of the elevator, take a left to the end of the hallway. Once you go in through the main door for Core Pelvic Health, there is a relaxing waiting room with coffee which you are welcome to enjoy. You will see a sign on the door on the left for Wonderfully Made.

A physical therapist who takes extra training and education to work with pelvic floor dysfunction specific to the needs of female patients, such as problems with peeing, pooping, sex, pregnancy/postpartum problems, or pelvic floor problems related to oncology treatment.
-
At Wonderfully Made, YOU are the priority - not filling the schedule with patients, cutting appointment times to 30 or 40 minutes, or insurance reimbursements. We can schedule 60- or 90-minute sessions to best use your time. We can develop a plan beyond checking boxes and meeting insurance-based goals in 4 visits. We can set up check-ins, maintenance, and wellness visits if needed.
The difference is that I have personally experienced urinary issues, bowel issues, pelvic pain, and fatigue related to having babies and cancer treatment. I also take an approach that incorporates my Christian faith and the belief that God has “fearfully and wonderfully made” the whole body (Psalm 139:14) - from head to toe, including the pelvis and breasts. This shapes the treatment plan for all patients.
I can meet you where you are, physically, mentally, and emotionally, to take steps forward towards hope and healing. We become a team, and we become a family. At Wonderfully Made, you will be respected and loved as an individual, and I am grateful for the opportunity to treat you.

* If you are unable to tolerate a tampon, OBGYN exam, or intercourse without fear, anxiety, or pain, pelvic floor physical therapy can help to overcome this! I take an approach that incorporates my Christian faith and the belief that God has “fearfully and wonderfully made” the whole body (Psalm 139:14) - from head to toe, including the pelvis. This shapes the treatment plan, interventions, and goals. Goals would include being able to tolerate an OBGYN exam without pain and being able to participate in intimacy as God created it to be - without pain and full love joy, love, and pleasure!
-
You can schedule an initial evaluation for 60 or 90 minutes. We will review a detailed discussion of medical history (OBGYN, oncology, medications), prior and current bladder, bowel, and sexual function, and pelvic pain. General physical exam of posture, range of motion, strength, incisions, and scars. Discussion of introductory education and home program. The 60-minute evaluation does not include an internal pelvic exam. The 90-minute evaluation can include an internal pelvic exam. I suggest wearing clothing that is comfortable and easy to move in.
-
Absolutely not. This is completely up to you and what you are ready for and comfortable with at the initial evaluation. The 60-minute evaluation does not include an internal pelvic exam, but the 90-minute evaluation can include one. At some point in the course of our time together, it is advisable that we incorporate a pelvic exam, especially if we are working to treat pelvic pain.
-
Verbal consent before and throughout the session. With gloves and liberal lubrication, I will insert one finger into your vagina or rectum to assess the pain, strength, coordination, and ability to relax the pelvic floor muscles. This can contribute to some soreness after the session.
If you have questions or concerns about your first visit or the internal examination, we can discuss them during the free 15-minute consultation.

Wonderfully Made is a "fee for service" provider, meaning I do not go through insurance companies. All services are paid for by the patient.
-
Insurance significantly dictates and limits what you can and cannot do, what diagnoses can be treated, length of care, no preventative care, and no wellness care.
By being out-of-network with insurance, I have significantly more freedom for what I can treat, treatment options, plan of care, length of care, and preventative/wellness care. We can also work together longer than the standard plan of care in a clinic. For instance, after you feel that your goals have been met, we can still meet once a month to “check-in” on your progress or maintenance. This would be an excellent option for someone who needs or wants “check-ins” to monitor vaginal dilator training after pelvic radiation or someone who struggles with chronic pelvic pain.
You may be able to be reimbursed for your out-of-network sessions. If you wish to try, request a superbill be sent to you following your visit so you can submit it to your insurance company.
-
As mentioned above, Wonderfully Made is out-of-network. Unfortunately, we are prohibited from treating clients with Medicare in the state of Georgia because we are out-of-network. If you call, we are happy to assist you in finding a practitioner who can take Medicare in the area!
-
A credit card is required for online booking. Payment will be automatically processed after each session. All major credit cards are accepted. Cash and checks are also available options, but they must be set up before beginning therapy. HSA/FSA is also accepted.
-
This depends on exactly what your diagnosis is. Typically, I see clients for 8 to 12 sessions. However, I have worked with some patients for less time and some for much longer.
By being out-of-network with insurance, we can work together longer than the standard plan of care in a clinic setting. For instance, after you feel that your goals have been met, we can still meet once a month to “check-in” on progress/maintenance. This is an excellent option for someone who needs/wants physical therapy during and after their pregnancy, wants “check-ins” with their vaginal dilator training after pelvic radiation, or struggles with chronic pelvic pain.
My goal is to empower women to continue improving independently. However, if a patient needs recurring check-ins, I would love to help!
-
This also depends, but I typically see patients once per week for a few weeks, every other week, and then “check-ins” every month, etc. My goal is to help you achieve YOUR goals so that you can live your life!
-
I have options to help! We can meet virtually, or I can come to you. My PT license is based in Georgia. Therefore, I am unable to treat patients in Alabama, virtually or in person.
Home visits are a great option for patients with extenuating circumstances, such as newborn or nursing babies that make it difficult to get out of the house for appointments or issues related to cancer.
My travel radius is roughly 30 minutes from north Columbus. Generally speaking, this covers Ft. Moore, Fortson, Hamilton, Midland. If you are outside of this radius, please reach out via email, so we can brainstorm possible solutions
-
Virtual sessions are a good option for patients who live more than 30 minutes away from Columbus (must be within Georgia). This is also an option for circumstances, such as sick kids at home or cancer fatigue and side effects. Instead of canceling, we can convert the treatment session into a virtual session. No need to worry—virtual sessions can be just as effective as an in-person session!
